Weddings

Over the past few weeks, we had not one, not two, but three weddings to attend with the girls. Plenty of reason to celebrate! The first wedding we attended was that of one of the girls that had recently moved out because she was getting married, the other girls sang a song for the bride and groom. The second wedding was that of an old-colleague/mother, and shortly thereafter we had a wedding of a new colleague/mother. Here too, the girls sang a song for the newly-weds.

In Thailand not only friends and family are invited, it is custom to invite the entire village. You never know how many people will show. At the third wedding, more than 250 people showed up. This meant that at lunch, there weren’t enough seats for all the attendees. We ended up stopping at a restaurant on our way back home.
